The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is proud to continue its seventh consecutive season of free FAMILY FEST with a spectacular new format – a series of free indoor, family-friendly performances ranging from award-winning musicians to South Florida’s most renowned performing artists. In celebration of its 7th season presenting Rock Odyssey to over 150,000 Miami-Dade Public School 5th graders, now you and your family can experience it too!
Rock Odyssey is a fast and funny theatrical adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey that transforms the epic work into a rock musical for young students.
Travel from the heights of Mt. Olympus to the darkest Mediterranean caves with all the great characters from the greatest adventure tale of them all—the warrior Odysseus, his smart and soulful wife Penelope, his boy-band wannabe son Telemachus, the powerful gods Zeus, Athena and Poseidon, the one-eyed monster Cyclops and the magical temptress Circe.
