How to Break your Bones

By Arabella September 21, 2021

How to break your bones…hmmm. First things first. Don’t worry, this article is perfectly safe (by which I mean you won’t fall out of a Christmas tree as I did!).

I have had crazy experiences throughout my life.  The first bone I broke was my clavicle when I was born, I also had a hip subluxation as a baby.  Not off to a great start, was I?

The next break happened when I fell off a piece of playground equipment when I was 3. It turns out it was a buckle fracture on my right arm.  I got a pink cast at the doctor’s office!

This third break was a big one.  Guess what, I had fallen out of a Christmas tree and that was just last year!  I was rushed to the hospital, then they transferred me in an ambulance to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.  I had broken my left elbow and needed surgery to put pins in. That year I got a purple cast.

This brings us to the most recent break.  I still have the yellow cast to show for it!  I tripped and fell, which wasn’t that pleasant and I fractured my left wrist.  It really is the “Hard Knock Life” for my bones.

Beware – there’s danger out there… especially Christmas trees!
