We're launching our rebranded awards - the 2023 Family Favorite Awards (formerly Gold Daisy Awards). Nominate the businesses and places your family loves most in our community: your favorite small businesses, service providers, places to play, and more!
Macaroni KID's Family Favorite Awards recognize the most beloved local businesses for kids and families in Fort Lauderdale, and closely surrounding communities. We want your family to help us choose the best of the best!
So... who do parents turn to when they want to find the best places to go or the best doctors or the best restaurants, or storytimes? Other parents! We want YOU to nominate here the businesses that your family loves in the Fort Lauderdale area!
How Do You Get Started?
From now through March 31st, 2023 at 11:59 pm, simply show the love by nominating here your favorite Fort Lauderdale area businesses! Nominate as many businesses as you would like. This is your chance to support all of those awesome, local businesses you go to all the time and that other parents might not know about. To keep it fair, only one submission per email address please; you must be a subscriber to the newsletter to nominate. It's free to subscribe! You can subscribe when you nominate.

What's In It For The Businesses?
After the nominating round, Macaroni KID subscribers will then be voting for the winners. We will announce the finalists and winners of each category in upcoming newsletters. The winning business in each category will receive free placement in our Business Directory for yearlong recognition, a 2023 Family Favorite Award Badge for their website & social media, plus the honor of knowing that local Fort Lauderdale families think they are the best!
The local business with the highest number of votes overall will win a 3-month advertising package with Macaroni KID Fort Lauderdale!

The Family Favorite Awards SCHEDULE
- Nominations are open from January 12th, 2023, through March 31st, 2023.
- Starting April 1st, 2023, you can vote for the businesses that received the most nominations. Only the top 3 businesses will be selected for the voting round.
- Voting will close on April 30th, 2023.
- Winners will be announced on May 1st, 2023
RULES
- Submit only one nomination ballot per email address; please nominate businesses in at least five categories.
- To nominate a business you must be a Macaroni KID Fort Lauderdale email subscriber. If you are not a subscriber and enter the contest, you will be automatically subscribed.
- Votes with fake email addresses will not count and may disqualify the nominee from winning. It is against policy to place a vote using any email other than your own.
- Only the top 3 nominations in each category will be selected for voting.
- Macaroni KID families will then vote on their favorites and one winner from each category will be selected.
- Macaroni KID confirms AND validates each email to ensure authenticity. We reserve the right to eliminate votes that are deemed to be invalid or have interfered with the fair administration of this contest.
