Are you a teen interested in art and culture or do you know a teen interested in arts and culture? If the answer is yes to either of these questions, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is accepting freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors entering the 2023–2024 school year into the PAMM Teen Arts Council (PTAC).
This program accepts 12 high school students dedicated to furthering the museum's mission of making art accessible to all. Students in this program will be able to plan and host museum events with their own budget, attend field trips to other museums, and even check out a Miami Art Week event. They will also meet essential members of our staff in a behind-the-scenes look at what makes a museum like ours possible.
Teens will also meet and learn from artists—both local and from the museum's collection! PTAC members will become experts on the art on the walls and develop their own touring practice, allowing them to share their own insights and perspectives with their peers, educators, and the broader community.
PTAC meets every Thursday, from 4–6:30pm starting in October and running through the end of the school year. Selected teens will receive community service hours and an honorary stipend. Snacks and drinks are also provided. |
