MDPLS Junior Reference Collection

More Than Just a Library

The Miami Dade Public Library System offers many free programs, events, and activities at over 40 local branches throughout the County.   So encourage your entire family to visit the library and visit it often, to read and participate in the numerous events and activities that the MDPLS has to offer.  An MDPLS library card is required for most of these programs and can be obtained at any branch library.

Junior Reference Collection

Make summer learning a blast! Avoid the summer slide and keep middle school students engaged with Junior Reference Collection's age-appropriate videos, newspapers, magazines, primary sources, and much more. Explore a wide range of the most studied topics including cultures, government, people, U.S. and world history, literature, and more.

Ancestry Library

Are you part of American Royalty? Looking to research your family tree, but don't know where to start? Ancestry Library can help. Just use a computer at any branch locations or log on to the library's free Wi-Fi with your own device and begin your search! You must be in the library to access the service.  Ancestry Library covers the United States and the United Kingdom and includes census, vital, church, court, and immigration records, as well as records from Canada, Europe, Australia and other parts of the world.
